Following my recent illness and resultant eating difficulties, I enjoyed a delayed 60th celebratory brunch at Cranberrys, one of my favourite venues in Glasgow. I had been gifted a voucher by the Esslemont and Stevenson families, but had put it on hold until my recovery. With a return to ‘normal’ eating, it was time to return to one of my favourite venues for Sunday brunch.
I was accompanied by my wife, Patricia and daughter, Louise.
Cranberrys is in the merchant city district of Glasgow and offers a full and varied breakfast menu all day on a Sunday. We have visited often and always find the food to a very high standard and this is matched with the service and ambience. Sunday was no exception and we thoroughly enjoyed the visit and heartily scoffed every morsel set before us. I had my traditional scrambled eggs and bacon, Tricia had poached eggs and bacon and Louise went for her favourite, french toast with maple syrup and cremated bacon! All the food arrived quickly, well cooked exactly to our request and well presented. The service was smiling and friendly. The costs are very reasonable, especially given the location and is an added bonus.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to enjoy a lovely meal in pleasant surroundings.
