I was going to a concert at the Perth Concert Hall on Saturday night and decided to go early and take in a meal beforehand. After making sure that we were parked close and in easy reach of the concert hall, we walked about the general area in search of a ‘nice’ restaurant. There were several attractive looking places and after one refusal in “Paco’s” as we had not booked in advance, we were given a table in the “Grand Italia Restaurant and Cafe” by the owner, Mario. He needed the table returned by 7, but that suited us fine.
The restaurant was nicely decorated, clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and very efficient. We ordered our meal and did not have long to wait until the food was before us, exactly as ordered, even with my requested changes to the offering on the menu. The food was plentiful and piping hot and most importantly, lovely and tasty. Staff continued throughout the meal to ensure that we had everything we needed and were smiley and friendly at all times.
The bill when it came did not contain any surprises and we thought was reasonable for the meal we had consumed. I cannot fault the restaurant in any way and would not hesitate to return there the next time we are in Perth, in fact I will probably book ahead to ensure that we can get back into this particular restaurant.
