This is my first foray into the realms of video production and editing. Had taken lots of ‘still’ photographs during our weekend away at Mairi and Gottfreid’s anniversary in Pittenweem and rather than filing them away, or putting them online individually, I decided to make a video collage of them. I am pretty pleased with the outcome and published it via the various social media platforms. I hope that you enjoy looking at them and would appreciate any comments.
Mairi and Gottfreid Zimmer were married in St Monans church 10 years ago and I was privileged to be Gottfreid’s best man on the day. The couple decided to celebrate the 10 years of marriage by revisiting the event. We all stayed for the weekend at the ‘House on the Rock’ in Pittenweem and walked the coastal path from there to the church at St Monans as we had done on the day.
The Saturday morning was exceptional as you can see in the initial picture of the set and we were lucky to enjoy dry, if not quite such sunny weather for the walk to the church in the afternoon. The views were stunning! After a rest we all returned for a lovely meal of fish and chips, followed by a night of fun and laughter.
The next day was a bit more subdued with everyone taking time to gather themselves. We made the short journey to Crail, however the weather had taken a turn for the worse and it was wet an windy. We had a wander around the pottery and most of the party then retired to the local coffee shop for a morning treat. Tricia and I decided to make an early start on the journey home and enjoyed a leisurely drive home, with our first crossing of the new bridge over the forth, The Queensferry Crossing. There were, what seems to be constant, traffic problems at the crossing, with lots of cones and speed restrictions, but no sign of any work either being carried out, or required. I am sure that these restriction will be essential, but it really does detract from the new bridge, which is supposed to alleviate, no exacerbate the traffic issues.
We got home safely feeling refreshed after a lovely weekend in the ‘East Neuk of Fife’.
